NHS 50th Reunion FAQ

 

What is the schedule of activities for the 50th Reunion.

  • 6:00 Check In begins

  • 7:30 Welcome, Moment of Silence, Announcements to Class
  • 7:45 -9:00 Buffet dinner

  • 10:15   50/50 drawing
  • 10:30 Photo Booth Closes
  • 11:30 last call
  • Reunion Ends

When will ticket sales end. Ticket sales will end on Sept 6th. This will allow us to get money from the credit card company into our account and pay the hotel for the reunion.

Will tickets be sold at the door.  No, we will not be selling any tickets at the door. No one will be admitted who has not gone through the website and purchased a ticket.

Should I have received a physical ticket after making my online purchase?  No, everyone who registers for the reunion, and pays the entry fee, has their names added to the list of those classmates and guests who will be allowed entry to the reunion.

Has the Reunion Committee Reserved a block of hotel rooms?  Yes, The Reunion Committee has reserved a block of 20 rooms, available Friday and Saturday night. Rooms can be booked online or by calling the Sheraton.

Special room rates of $159/night at the Sheraton.   We have reserved 20 rooms for Friday and Saturday Night.

Will there be a live band at the Reunion? Yes, we have the band “Garfish”. The band leader is one of our classmates, Dana Cohen. They will play music mostly from the 60’s and 70’s

What is the dress code for the Reunion?  We have no formal dress code for the reunion so use your best judgement.  Generally casual cocktail would be ideal.

Will there be any quite places to talk?   Yes, we have several quiet seating areas adjacent to the main ball room with couches and chairs where you can sit and have a quiet conversation. We also have reserved the outdoor patio which would make a very nice spot to converse. To assure conversations during dinner can be conducted at a reasonable volume we will have quiet background music for both the cocktail and dinner hours.

What is the Committee doing to address Covid concerns.  We will follow CDC guidelines, as well as any guidelines set by the state of Massachusetts regarding gatherings of 50 or more people. 

Did the Reunion Committee allow for Social Distancing at the Sheraton?  We have booked plenty of space at the Sheraton to include 3 large ballrooms which allows great table spacing. We will access to the outdoor courtyard so classmates can get some fresh air. Our Registration Table will be in a large hallway as will the Cocktail Bar and hors d'oeuvres.

Does the Reunion Committee plan to have Hand Sanitizers and Masks Available? We will have hand sanitizer stations set up at the Buffet and other points around the reunion. We will have surgical masks for anyone requesting one. We will not be providing KN95 or N95 masks and suggest you bring your own if you require one.

Will the Reunion Committee offer a refund if the CDC and / or the State of MA restricts gatherings over 50 people?  If for any reason the state restricts gatherings, we will reschedule the reunion. (Assuming the hotel will allow us to reschedule without financial penalty) At this time we have no plans to issue refunds.

If the reunion is cancelled, and I’ve booked a hotel or Airline ticket will I be reimbursed by the Reunion Committee.  The Reunion Committee is not responsible for reimbursement of tickets or hotel purchases you may have made. You will need to take that up with the hotel or airline. If the reunion is cancelled will provide a reschedule date as soon as possible to allow those with Hotel or Airline reservations to make changes.
