I believe Ricky died in an accident around 1978

I think he died 1972 or 1973. His best friend, Chris Lovell, told me he fell asleep while driving. It was his last night after quiting work. I lived across the street from Ricky on Park Street. Chris Lovell was just a block away, also on Park St. I think it was the Summer of 1973 when Chris visited me in Seattle, and told me about Ricky.

That was a sad day... I remember how much Ricky loved sports and he was one of the best athletes during grade school.. I remember riding by his house... and out front he had two bases set up ... he would run from base to base perfecting his "slide"... skills .... He was one hell of a determined kid..... Chris how have you been?

I didn't know him very well as he went to a different Middle School. I do remember he was an amazing basketball player and sunk a last-second shot to beat Warren Jr. High in a really close game. I think he decided to take up tennis and was equally good at that.
