Susan Abramson

Attended Brandeis, then Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion where I was ordained as a rabbi in 1981. Served as an assistant rabbi outside of Philly for 3 years. Been the rabbi of Temple Shalom Emeth, Burlington, MA since 1984. Now the longest serving female rabbi in MA.
Author of the Rabbi Rocketpower series of children's holiday mysteries (for Grades K-4). Currently four books in the series (Hanukkah, Shabbat, Passover, Tu Bishvat). Working on two more at the moment.

Fondly recall having finals cancelled in the 9th grade.... 12th grade French class walking down three flights of stairs then getting into Mrs. Neufeld's car to continue speaking French so we wouldn't miss a second of class during all those bomb threats... scary walks through the underground passages between buildings with most of the lights blown out.... watching kids overturn a police car while in math class.... marching on City Hall... walking home up all those hills after tennis matches...
